Frequently Asked Questions
1. When should I seek fertility Advice?
For women under 35 years of age it is recommended that you seek advice after having regular unprotected intercourse for 12 months without conceiving, for women over 35 this is after 6 months.
There are certain circumstances when you may need to seek help earlier than this, such as if you do not have a regular menstrual period, or if you or your partner are known to have a problem that affects yours or his fertility.
2. How do I make an appointment to see Dr Teirney?
Dr Teirney consults from two locations:

- St George Private Hospital, Kogarah ph (02) 95537555.
You can call her secretaries on the above numbers to make an appointment (see contact us). In order to claim a rebate from Medicare for your consultation or any future treatment you may have, you and your partner MUST have a current referral from a GP or specialist. Please Note that referrals from a GP are valid for twelve months or longer, while a referral from a specialist is valid for only three months.
